Long Beach, California – Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the perpetrator responsible for the tragic shooting of a 17-year-old girl named Briana Soto who was killed near her residence in Long Beach back in March. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred on March 26 around 8:25 p.m. at 11th Street and Lewis Avenue, resulting in Soto’s untimely death.

During a press conference at the police headquarters, LBPD Chief Wally Hebeish shared security footage depicting an individual walking around the neighborhood where the teen resided. “The video we’re releasing today, which was captured by security cameras, shows a suspect walking in the vicinity just before the fatal shooting,” Hebeish stated. Describing the suspect as a male clothed in dark attire with a mask obscuring their face, Hebeish also mentioned that the individual was seen fleeing in a southerly direction following the shooting and discarding pieces of clothing.
