HOUSTON DOUBLE MURDER: Suspect Commits Suicide as Police Investigate Ambush-Style Attack

Houston, Texas – Authorities from the Houston Police Department are currently at the scene where the person of interest in a double murder has reportedly taken their own life, as stated by detectives.

The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday when law enforcement responded to a call at the 2800 block of Chapman. Upon arrival, they were informed about a person of interest and attempted to engage in dialogue with them to gather information, according to officials.

A detective present at the scene, who had also been involved with the double shooting at 133 E 37th Street, confirmed that the individual had died by suicide.

The Houston police department is currently investigating the tragic deaths of 39-year-old Mary Arredondo and a 22-year-old individual. Both victims were fatally shot by a perpetrator who was described as wearing a blue hoodie, camouflage pants, a mask, black shoes, and black gloves while the victims were seated on the porch outside.
