Manager Fatally Shot at Little Caesars: Employee Arrested for Murder in Georgia

Leesburg, Georgia – Tragedy struck a Little Caesars store in Georgia when a store manager was shot and killed by one of his employees. According to reports from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the manager, identified as 50-year-old Joseph Dorminey, was fatally shot multiple times inside the store located in Leesburg, Georgia, approximately 15 minutes away from Albany.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 28-year-old Daquan Harris from Lithona, who has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the incident. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the GBI, took Harris into custody following the shooting that claimed the life of Dorminey at the Little Caesars on U.S. 19 North in Lee County.

Law enforcement officials responded to the scene around 9:20 p.m. after receiving reports of the shooting. Upon arriving, deputies found Dorminey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The following morning, Harris was arrested by Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies around 8:30 a.m. and booked into the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Little Caesars issued a statement expressing their devastation over the incident and extended their deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim, pledging full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.

The GBI has urged anyone with information related to the case to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office or the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Americus, Georgia. The tragic event has left the community in shock, as residents come to terms with the loss of a beloved member of the local establishment.
