Shooting Suspect Arrested in Tuscaloosa After Killing One and Injuring Three

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – An unfortunate incident unfolded in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, as one individual lost their life and three others sustained injuries in a shooting. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit revealed that the tragic event occurred around 1 a.m. on Sunday at a residence located on 58th Street East.

According to authorities, a group of people had gathered at the house when an individual was asked to leave. Shortly after, gunfire erupted from outside the residence, targeting the victims through an open doorway. Tragically, one victim, identified as Donavin Ryans, aged 30, succumbed to their injuries from the shooting.

The alleged perpetrator fled the scene following the shooting but was apprehended late Sunday afternoon in Marengo County. Authorities disclosed that the suspect in custody goes by the name of Gregrick Agnew, aged 22. Agnew has been charged with capital murder and is currently detained in the county jail, with additional charges anticipated in the ongoing investigation.
