Authorities have connected the murder to student rivalry, with two brothers from Haryana implicated in the crime. Both suspects are currently on the run. Following the devastating news, Navjeet’s uncle in Karnal shared his distress, recounting the heart-wrenching moment he received the call informing him of his nephew’s untimely death.
According to Navjeet’s father, Jitender Sandhu, a farmer, the fatal confrontation stemmed from a dispute involving one of the suspects, Sharvan Kumar, and his roommates. In a tragic turn of events, Sharvan sought refuge in Navjeet’s flat after an altercation with his housemates. When asked to remove his belongings from the shared living space, Sharvan requested Navjeet’s assistance. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the scene, Sharvan’s roommates attacked him with knives, inadvertently injuring Navjeet, who suffered fatal stab wounds.
Jitender Sandhu has made a heartfelt plea to the government to facilitate the repatriation of his son’s remains to India, where grieving loved ones await closure and justice for Navjeet’s senseless death.
