Athens Teen Charged with Murder in Rolling Ridge Apartments Shooting

Athens, Georgia – Authorities in Athens, Georgia have made a second arrest in connection with the tragic shooting death of 20-year-old Cameron Manago at Rolling Ridge Apartments on May 27. Zyquavious Thomas, a 16-year-old, was apprehended several hours after the incident and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and criminal attempt at armed robbery. The community was shocked by the loss of Manago and the circumstances surrounding his death.

Today, 18-year-old Janiya Moore of Athens was also arrested in connection with Manago’s death. She faces charges of felony murder and tampering with evidence. Moore was taken into custody in Jackson County with the help of the local sheriff’s office.
