Lemon Grove, CA – Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in locating Daniel Ethridge, a 34-year-old man implicated in the 2023 shooting death of 39-year-old Gregory Moore. The incident, which occurred on Lemon Grove Avenue near Montana Street, has escalated into a broader investigation involving multiple suspects, all of whom had prior altercations with the victim.
Sheriff’s Lt. Michael Krugh indicated that the fatal attack on Moore, who suffered gunshot wounds to his torso and legs, purportedly arose from an earlier conflict. Despite being severely injured, Moore managed to drive a short distance before being found unconscious in his vehicle on San Miguel Avenue. He succumbed to his injuries later at a hospital.
Ethridge, along with three others, has been charged in connection to Moore’s death. He is currently at large with a murder arrest warrant issued against him. Known to have affiliations with a local street gang, Ethridge also has a history of criminal activities including assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an inhabited dwelling.
Described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, Ethridge is considered armed and dangerous. As part of efforts to apprehend him, the U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward, with an additional $1,000 reward provided by Crime Stoppers for information leading to his arrest.
