XENIA, Ohio – A Huber Heights man has been sentenced to three years in prison for sexually abusing a teenage girl in Greene County, according to records from the Greene County Common Pleas Court.
Anthony Sellers, 38, was convicted of two counts of gross sexual imposition in September after the victim reported the abuse to a family member in early February. The family member then notified the authorities, leading to Sellers’ indictment.
The abuse occurred over several years at residences in both Greene and Montgomery counties, the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office previously stated. Sellers was indicted in February and sentenced on Dec. 20 after the victim showed immense courage in coming forward and telling the truth.
“It took courage for this child to come forward and tell the truth about what Anthony Sellers did to her,” Greene County Prosecutor David Hayes said. “The jury recognized that truth and found Anthony Sellers guilty.”
Sellers has been held accountable for his actions, serving as a testament to the bravery of the victim and the importance of speaking out against abuse. These legal actions also send a message to other potential abusers that their actions will not go unnoticed and unpunished.
