NEW CITY, N.Y. – Tragedy struck a New York police sergeant and his family, as they were found dead in what authorities believe to be a murder-suicide early Saturday morning.
Sergeant Watson Morgan of Bronxville Police did not report for duty on Friday night, prompting officers to visit his residence.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered the lifeless bodies of the 49-year-old sergeant, his wife, Ornela, and their two young sons, all with apparent gunshot wounds.
The police have confirmed that a firearm was recovered at the scene, leading them to believe that Morgan killed his family before taking his own life.
