COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Authorities in the United Kingdom have arrested a Colorado mother suspected of killing two of her children and injuring a third.
Kimberlee Singler, 35, was taken into custody on Dec. 30, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. The arrest comes after Singler was accused of lying about a burglary at her home, where two of her three children were found dead and a third child was injured.
Before her arrest in the U.K., Singler was last seen on Dec. 23. Police had issued a warrant for her arrest on charges including felony murder, attempted murder, child abuse, and assault in the first degree.
The case began when police responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary at Singler’s home on Dec. 19. At the scene, they found Singler and her 11-year-old daughter injured, and her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son deceased. The initial report of a burglary was later found to be false, and police established probable cause for the murders on Dec. 26.
Since then, Singler’s 11-year-old daughter has been recovering and is safe in the Colorado Springs area.
Authorities have indicated that no further information will be shared until a later date.
