Colorado Springs, CO – Kimberlee Singler, a woman accused of killing two of her children and injuring another, was captured on Sunday in the United Kingdom. The authorities had been searching for Singler since December 19, when her 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son were found dead in their home. At the time, police were initially responding to a false report of a burglary. Singler, 35, initially cooperated with the authorities but then disappeared as the unfounded report was revealed. When the police finally obtained an arrest warrant, Singler had already fled, last being seen in Colorado Springs the Saturday prior.
Singler was found with her children’s bodies and her 11-year-old daughter, who was also injured. The FBI was called in to assist with the case after Singler disappeared. It was revealed that Singler was involved in a legal battle with her ex-husband related to parenting time and other issues.
Singler now faces multiple charges, including first-degree felony murder, attempted first-degree murder, felony child abuse, and first-degree assault, with a bond set at $10 million. The details of her arrest in the UK were not disclosed by the authorities. The investigation is ongoing, and the motive behind the tragic incident remains unclear.
