BROOKLYN, NY – A community is in mourning after a tragic accident claimed the lives of a mother and her two young daughters in the Midwood section of Brooklyn. The incident occurred on a Saturday afternoon when a speeding vehicle caused a devastating collision.
Natasha Sada, 34, and her children, eight-year-old Diana and five-year-old Deborah, were walking to a relative’s house when they were struck. The impact was fatal for Natasha and her daughters, while her four-year-old son remains in critical condition.
The accident unfolded when an Audi, driven by 32-year-old Miriam Yarimi, collided with a Toyota at the intersection of Ocean Parkway and Quinton Road. The Audi then careened into the pedestrians before flipping over. Authorities revealed Yarimi had a suspended license and an extensive record of 93 violations, along with $10,000 in unpaid fines.
Yarimi, who sustained injuries and is currently hospitalized in stable condition, faces serious charges including three counts of manslaughter and three counts of criminally negligent homicide. The driver of the Toyota, a 63-year-old Uber driver, and his passengers, including three children, were reported to be in stable condition following the crash.
The Hasidic community, deeply affected by the loss, described Sada as a devoted mother who raised her children with strong moral values. Community members gathered to honor the family, expressing their sorrow and support for the grieving relatives.
Sada’s husband and their youngest child were not present at the time of the accident, sparing them from the immediate tragedy. Plans are underway to transport the bodies to Israel for burial, in accordance with the family’s wishes.
This incident has sparked discussions about road safety and the enforcement of traffic laws, particularly concerning drivers with suspended licenses and outstanding violations. Community leaders are calling for stricter measures to prevent similar tragedies from occurring.
As the neighborhood comes together to support the bereaved family, the focus remains on healing and remembering the lives lost in this heartbreaking event.
