EAGLE ROCK, CA – The tranquility of an Eagle Rock neighborhood was shattered as police pursued suspects from a freeway hit-and-run incident, leading to an unexpected confrontation. Jillian Shriner, the wife of Weezer’s bassist Scott Shriner, now faces attempted murder charges after allegedly pointing a gun at officers.
The incident unfolded when Shriner, 51, reportedly emerged from her home with a handgun as officers chased suspects through the area. Despite repeated commands to disarm, she allegedly aimed the weapon at police, resulting in her being shot in the shoulder. Fortunately, her injuries were not severe.
Residents of the typically serene neighborhood were startled by the sudden influx of police activity. One local described the scene as unsettling, noting that it was an unusual occurrence for the area. Concerned for their safety, many neighbors took precautions to protect their families.
