Search Continues for Presumed-Dead Missing 4-Year-Old in Philadelphia as Police Seek Evidence in Boy’s Disappearance

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – The search is ongoing for a missing 4-year-old boy, Damari Carter, who is presumed dead in Philadelphia.

Authorities searched the home of a man connected to the case on Sunday for additional evidence to help locate the young boy. Carter’s mother, Dominique Bailey, 28, and her boyfriend, 30-year-old Kevin Spencer, are facing several charges in this case, including murder, endangering the welfare of a child, and false reports.

The investigation into this incident began on December 30, after family members stated they had not seen Carter in weeks. According to Carter’s aunt, Nakia Bailey, the family last saw him on his birthday, November 25.

On Sunday, police searched Spencer’s house on the 3800 block of Reno Street, collecting bags of evidence from the scene. Investigators believe Carter was beaten to death, and authorities have been searching extensively for him, including canvassing neighborhoods and examining dumpsters blocks away from Spencer’s home.

Carter’s family expressed devastation over the incident, describing him as an innocent sweetheart. They continue to hope for closure and urge anyone with information on the case to contact the police at 215-686-TIPS.
