Spring, Texas — A Texas man is currently held on capital murder charges after allegedly shooting his father and stepmother multiple times in their home. The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Benjamin Frakes, was arrested at a local poker club shortly following the incident.
On Tuesday, law enforcement officials apprehended Benjamin at the Dog House Poker Club, following a tip that led them to the scene. The arrest came in response to the death of 72-year-old Franklin Frakes and his wife, 56-year-old Florentina Frakes, whose bodies were discovered in their Spring residence the previous Friday.
Officials detailed that a neighbor, who had grown concerned after hearing gunshots the prior night, discovered the couple. This initial discovery prompted an immediate police response. Upon their arrival at the crime scene, authorities found a handgun, which is believed to be the murder weapon.
