DEL CITY, Okla. — In a harrowing incident in Del City, a man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his father multiple times during a 911 call in which he asked the dispatcher to choose the next body part he should target. The suspect, 41-year-old Erick Nimsey, now faces multiple charges including domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
The distressing events unfolded in a residential apartment near Oklahoma City, where Nimsey was residing with his 63-year-old father, Eddie Davis. According to the police, the 911 dispatcher received a call from Nimsey who chillingly inquired during the assault whether to inflict injury on the left or right foot of his father.
As Nimsey’s unsettling inquiries continued, the sound of Davis’s painful screams provided a grave background to the call. Nimsey went on to threaten the dispatcher, implicating them in the decision of where he would strike next, followed by a countdown. Throughout the call, the dispatcher attempted to de-escalate the situation while ensuring Nimsey remained on the line until police could intervene.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials had to forcibly enter the apartment after Nimsey refused entry. Inside, they found a grim scene with Davis severely injured in a kitchen smeared with blood, while Nimsey was subdued without resistance in another room, seemingly prepared for the police.
