Three Suspects Detained in Engaged Couple’s Murder

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with the murders of a newly engaged couple found dead in their vehicle last month. The arrests come after an investigation revealed a planned meeting between the suspects and victims turned deadly.

LeBron Rogers, 18, along with two juveniles, faces charges for the fatal shooting of Ramon Moraga and Nadia Millowic during an attempted robbery on June 30. Prosecutors allege that the meeting, initially set up to exchange vape cartridges near 120th Street and Shea, quickly escalated into violence.

Court documents indicate that as Moraga attempted to flee the scene, the suspects pulled a gun, opening fire on the couple. Moraga’s car subsequently rolled into a ditch, where authorities discovered him deceased. Millowic sustained critical injuries and later succumbed to them at a hospital.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the suspects approach the location and later jumping a fence. Another witness overheard the suspects making threats about harming the victims. These accounts were crucial in piecing together the sequence of events.

Investigators also traced a financial transaction between the suspects and victims through a money trading platform, which helped corroborate the planned meet-up. Additional evidence was uncovered at the suspects’ residences and through social media activity on Snapchat.

Each suspect now faces two counts of murder and two counts of armed robbery. Rogers is currently detained on a $1 million cash-only bond as the case proceeds through the legal system.

The community remains in shock over the tragic loss of the couple, and the investigation continues to unfold as authorities work to secure justice for the victims.
