CHICAGO, Ill. — A 26-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday night in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, prompting a police investigation that remained open Monday morning.
Chicago police responded about 7:59 p.m. Sunday to the 2700 block of North Harding Avenue, near Kosciuszko Park. Officers found the man unresponsive on the ground after he had been shot in the back, according to police accounts reported by multiple Chicago news organizations.
The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities had not publicly identified him in the reports available Monday morning.
