Kingston Bradley, 18, faces a felony charge as police continue investigating the death of 26-year-old Shanteria Mosely.
SMYRNA, Ga. — An arrest warrant is providing new details about evidence found during a Smyrna death investigation that began with a missing-person report and ended with an 18-year-old man charged with concealing the death of another.
Kingston Bradley of Smyrna was arrested after police responded Wednesday evening to Park Valley Apartments on Valley Parkway. Investigators found the remains of a woman during the inquiry. Relatives have identified the woman as 26-year-old Shanteria Mosely, whose family had been searching for her after she stopped responding while making DoorDash deliveries.
The warrant describes a witness seeing Bradley carrying a plastic container through an open area of the apartment complex at about the time police were investigating the missing-person report. According to the document, Bradley dropped the container on a dirt walkway after realizing he had been observed and then ran toward a nearby apartment.
Investigators found human remains inside the container, according to the warrant. Police then obtained a search warrant for the apartment associated with Bradley as the investigation expanded from a missing-person case into a death investigation.
Inside the apartment, officers reported finding several areas with bloodstains and a large saw with apparent blood on it, the arrest warrant says. Investigators also reported a strong odor of bleach. A mop, a bucket containing water and a carpet cleaner were among the other items documented in the residence. Authorities have not publicly disclosed forensic test results connected to those items.
Bradley faces a felony count of concealing the death of another and was being held without bond in the Cobb County jail. The charge concerns the alleged concealment of a death and should not be read as a finding that Bradley caused Mosely’s death. Police had not publicly announced a homicide charge against him as of Friday.
Authorities also have not released an official cause or manner of death. Police have not said publicly whether Bradley and Mosely knew each other, nor have investigators announced a motive. Those unanswered questions remain central to the investigation as detectives collect evidence and conduct interviews.
The case began after Mosely’s relatives became concerned when they could no longer reach her Wednesday. Family members said they used information from her cellphone to trace her movements to the apartment complex and found her vehicle in the area. They continued searching the property and speaking with people there as they tried to locate her.
The family’s account and the arrest warrant describe different parts of the same developing investigation. Relatives have emphasized their role in tracing Mosely to the complex, while police records document the evidence officers say they encountered once the investigation was underway. The available records do not establish how Mosely died or who caused her death.
Investigators continued searching the apartment complex and surrounding wooded areas Thursday as the case remained active. Smyrna police said evidence was still being collected and interviews were continuing. Any additional criminal charges would depend on evidence developed during the investigation and decisions by the appropriate authorities.
