An administration official stated on Thursday that the Biden administration is continuing to keep a close eye on the prospect of Republican governors secretly bringing groups of migrants to Democratic areas. The official was speaking on behalf of the government.

An appeals court on Wednesday reinstated the Justice Department’s access to secret materials removed from former President Donald Trump’s Florida home last month, providing a victory to federal investigators.
Republicans want a secure border. Republican governors like Texas’ Greg Abbott and, more recently, Florida’s Ron DeSantis have made a habit of moving migrants from their Sun Belt states to northern Democratic-voting areas. On Tuesday, while August inflation remained uncomfortably high, President Biden stated that he was “celebrating” the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, drawing criticism from politicians and conservatives. Biden attended a ceremony at the White House to celebrate the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act, and he was joined by congressional allies and legendary singer/songwriter James Taylor. The Inflation Reduction Act is Biden and congressional Democrats’ most ambitious effort to date to rein in rising prices before the November elections.
