The administration hoped that the news of more than a quarter million interactions would receive minimal media publicity when it was announced late Friday evening.
Last month, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountered 251,487 illegal immigrants, the highest number ever recorded. Last month’s data and the first two months of the fiscal year 2023 (which runs from October 01, 2022 – September 30, 2023) — October and November — indicate that the United States is on course to have more than 2.87 million interactions with illegal aliens at its southern border this year.
As a result of December’s stats, the Biden administration has encountered over 200,000 illegal aliens every month at the southern border for ten consecutive months.
According to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, there have been approximately 1,200,000 reported escapes along the southern border since President Biden took office. According to CBP sources, monthly arrivals have hovered around 70,000 for the past few months.

The most recent border crisis statistics are anticipated to increase the pressure on DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, against whom articles of impeachment were filed last week. Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas) stated since day one, Secretary Mayorkas’ actions have hindered law enforcement efforts along our southern border.
